- 04/27 - Old Ted tells his kids that to pick a career, first find something you love, then figure out how to get paid for it. He then says that Lily found out a long time ago that she loved painting. A flashback has the gang go to an art gallery where one of Lily's painting is displayed. Patrons only have bad comments about the painting meaning that Lily has yet to find out how to get paid for her art. Lily eventually accepts that she is a painter who teach kindergarden for money. She brings her class to the MET but the museum is closed so she decides to bring everyone to Robin's TV station. The kids are acting like grownups when they first meet Robin; they tell her they get their news fix online and that they watch The Daily Show. But later, they act like kids when one cries to leave the station and another runs around naked. Lily thinks she finally got her big break when a G-CWOK (gay couple without kids) buys her painting but, as expected, there is a twist to this. 05/08 - Ted's cab gets hit by a car and the previous 3 seasons flash before his eyes. In the hospital room, Marshall tells stories to prove to Robin that miracles exist and she tells them why she doesn't believe in miracles. Flashbacks include a college-age Marshall going through customs after a trip to Amsterdam, why Marshall did not get his job back at Hewitt, and a 6-year-old Robin and her dog, Lila.
